Cody and Erin's Engagement Session ~ Boise, Idaho

Love is in the air!

This amazing and beautiful couple will be tieing the knot in July. I loved this session because they were up for anything and they added their own personalities to the photos. It was also the first time I had ever gotten kicked out of a location so it was a memory I will never forget.

I have to give Cody credit too because he actually smiled in his photos. Men don't always smile, they "smirk" but he kept saying "Your the boss!" Sounds like his mom raised him well and I am sure his mom is proud of who he has become. He is marrying and incredible women also. Not only is she gorgeous, stylish and sweet... she is down to earth, fun, spunky and also up for camping, hiking, football... etc. She is every man's dream! But sorry boys she is taken.

Thanks so much for such a fun session. I hope you enjoy your photos!

Newborn Sessions just might be my favorite!

I think every photographer specializes in something or prefers one type of session over another... and I think I have found my favorite type of sessions... NEWBORNS!! I get excited when a new mommy calls me to take pictures of their newest addition. Like the twins coming up soon! Oh I just can't wait.

It may be the smell of a baby, or the baby faces and noises they make... or maybe even simply the fact that you can't take a bad photo of something so precious and sweet... but it's also that feeling I get when I walk away from a newborn session. I am all giddy and happy. I got my baby fix... and my husband is thrilled cause he knows that I won't bother him with having "Just one more!" LOL!

Here is my newest baby I got to photograph. He is just too perfect for words and was so snuggly and sweet.

.Week 38 • Smirk Photo Challenge

What's a smirk?

According to definition it says "A smirk refers to a smile evoking insolence, scorn, or offensive smugness."

But to a child who has a mommy as a photographer... a smirk could also mean that "super annoyed" half cheesy smile they give you when you tell them to say cheese. You know that look of irritation... that look of offensiveness... As a photographer you know what I am talking about when you settle for that "smirk" photo because you know that unless you want to re shoot over and over... this is the best you can get without getting irritated! Such as this one...

STOP!!!

BEWARE!

Before you move forward... our family is die hard Boise State Bronco Fans... so this photo may offend you if you don't like Boise State!!! GO BRONCOS!! Where we play on the blue turf! :D

I say Madison "Smile" and she gives me these have cheesy... "smirky smile" poses! Anyone got a new kid I can borrow until my daughter outgrows this phase?

Want to see more smirkness? Then visit http://www.iheartfaces.com/ and while your at it enter your own smirkness to the mix!

My Bestest's Kiddos!

My BFF came from Oregon this week and I got to spend time with her and her little ones. I love watching my kids interact with her little ones and playing together since they are all about the same age. While she was here we took some time to go to her daddy's old farm and get some pictures of the kids playing in the dirt and on old tractors and trailers. Nothing like an old farm to take pictures at! Gonna have to use this location for some future sessions!
